Hermes Email connects its owner’s Gmail account to a self-hosted Hermes Agent environment for requested email searches, thread reading, summaries, and attachment retrieval.

What the integration does
- Searches the owner’s mailbox for requested information.
- Reads relevant messages and complete conversation threads.
- Retrieves attachments to support owner-requested administrative work.
- Provides selected information to the owner’s configured AI services when needed to carry out a request.
Read-only access
The configured Gmail permission is https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly. It permits reading Gmail data, but does not grant sending, editing, deleting messages, or changing mailbox labels. The owner authorizes access through Google and can revoke it at any time.
Who it is for
Hermes Email is a personal tool for its operator’s own account. It is not offered to the general public, and there is no public account-registration service.
